STAR After-School Program – Site Lead
Seasonal/Temporary, 18-22 hrs/week
Starting Pay: $26/hr
Island Rec is looking for a Site Lead for our STAR afterschool program at Friday Harbor Elementary School for grades TK-5. The ideal candidate has strong skills in supervising and engaging children, excellent organizational abilities, is creative, patient, and ready to have some fun with our participants. Help plan and lead activities for students ranging from outdoor recreation to arts and crafts. This is a Seasonal Part-Time position from September 8, 2026 – June 10, 2027. Hours are after school to 5:45 pm Monday to Friday and 8:30 am-4:30 pm during winter, mid-winter, and spring breaks.

STAR Leader
Seasonal/Temporary, 10-25 hrs/week
Starting Pay: $18.50/hr
Island Rec has openings for new team members for our STAR after-school program staff. We are looking for creative and responsible people to work alongside the STAR Program Director during this after-school program at Friday Harbor Elementary School for grades TK-5. Help plan and lead activities for students ranging from outdoor recreation to arts and crafts. This is a Seasonal Part-Time position from September 8, 2026 – June 10, 2027. Opportunity for summer work available.
