Adult Co-ed Soccer League
NEW TEAMS WELCOME! This co-ed league for ages 16+ plays games on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings, May 28 – July 30. All players must register individually with Island Rec. Teams will be created based on individual player registration and limited to 20 players per team. All teams will compete in post-season tournament and will be limited to their finalized roster which is due 2 weeks before the end of the regular season. A mandatory captains meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 9 at 5:15pm at the Island Rec Office.

Birdwatching
Explore San Juan Island with our eagle eye birdwatching guides. These 2-hour walking tours allow for opportunities to learn about the variety of birds and habitats right in our own backyard. No experience needed, however binoculars are highly recommended.

Art Bite: Candle Making with Aby Henry
Discover the tips and tricks to this deceptively simple art while learning how to make healthy custom candles for your home using long and clean burning soy and coconut wax. Explore the basics of scent blending. You will leave with two or three candles topped with stones, dried herbs or flowers, extras available for an additional cost. Different themes and essential oils will be discussed at each session.Containers will be provided or bring your own containers to refill. Join Island Rec for a series of workshops highlighting the skills and talents of visiting artists. All materials will be provided unless otherwise specified. Strong & Fit Senior Fitness with Boo Boo 55+
Held in the Annex of SJI Fitness, these comprehensive workouts led by instructor Boo Boo James are ideal for any ability. Focusing on strength training, core fitness, range of motion, and balance, participants are led through an array of exercise to keep them strong, fit, and healthy. A minimum of 12 participants required before early fee deadline for each class. Early fee deadlines are two Thursdays before the class begins.

Mariana will guide you to move slowly and deliberately through a gentle sequence of asanas (physical poses) that will help you stretch, feel calm and balanced. This class will create a stronger sense of peace and stability, not only physically, but mentally. We will be working with the 8 Limbs of Yoga to find a strong foundational practice that feels good and easeful in your body.
