Upon successful completion of these classes you will walk away with life-saving skills, and have a certification from the American Heart Association that is valid for two years. These are ideal classes for parents, baby sitters, volunteer coaches and recreation leaders. Sign up for one or both!

Gentle Yoga for Adults

A perfect class to help you maintain a supple body and a peaceful mind. This class will help you improve joint mobility, balance, reflexes and mental clarity. It will also increase your stamina and youthful posture and muscle tone. These classes move at a slower pace with opportunities for questions and individual attention. Katerina Wen, M.Ed. has been a professional yoga teacher and yoga therapist for over 20 years. Her teaching style is gentle and compassionate. Known for her masterful ability to work with all ages and body types!

Join Anna Maria at The Studio! 20 minutes of low impact cardio-vascular training; 20 minutes of strength/core training; and 20 minutes of balance/flexibility training in this fun, versatile class. Active Senior Fitness

This class is designed as a total body workout that combines strength training, core development, flexibility and balance. American Council of Exercise (ACE) Certified Instructor Tracy McClintock has been teaching fitness classes since 1983.

Moving Parts & Healthy Hearts

Join Katerina Wen, Movement Specialist extraordinaire, for this class specially designed to meet the needs of people with limited mobility. Through large and small muscle movements, participants will increase joint mobility, overall strength, balance and stress management. Katerina will get your body moving in ways you thought were long lost! Exercises are adapted to be done in a chair or standing. Katerina has been a professional yoga teacher and yoga therapist for 20+ years. Over the years, she has developed unique therapeutic movements for children and adults with special needs, medically challenged, and people with all types of mobility issues.

Moving Parts & Healthy Hearts Part 2

This class draws on the movements of our Moving Parts & Health Hearts, Part 1 class to increase joint mobility and overall strength, with added elements for standing balance exercises and mind/body awareness. All exercises may be adapted to seated positions. This is a good class for stress reduction and for people who aren’t ready for a traditional active exercise class, but want to get their blood and body moving. Led by Stephanie Prima, Avisha Institute Certified Instructor.

This series of seminars given by Katerina Wen, M.Ed. will explore the intricate relationship between breath, movement, nutrition and a healthy immune system. SJI Fitness will provide a safe place to learn and practice the basics of breath control and beginner strokes. Learn how to swim for fitness by working with sensitive teachers and spotters. Students will practice skills and progress at their own pace. Goggles recommended.
