Babysitting is important business and good babysitters are always in demand! Safe Sitter® is a nationally recognized training program that teaches the skills to do the job well and earn parents’ trust. Participants will leave this training with a valuable toolkit of medically accurate, up-to-date information and potentially life-saving skills to add to their babysitting resumes. SCHOOL’S OUT CAMP -Winter Break! – Grades K-6
Have some fun during Winter Break at School’s Out Camp! Camp runs Mon – Fri, Dec 23 – Jan 3 (no camp on 12/25 or 1/1), when school is closed for Winter Break. Camp hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm with optional extended hours from 3:30 to 5:30pm (must also register for Extended Hours). Register for individual days or for the full 8-day session. Recreation Specialist, Diana Feinson is creating a camp filled with fun & enriching games, arts and crafts and excursions to the swimming pool, bowling alley, parks, library, and more. A School’s Out Application Form 2013-2014 is required prior to enrolling.
Pre-registration is required (no drop-ins), and space is limited, so sign up early!

SEATTLE AQUARIUM TRIP – Ages 8-12
School’s out for the day! Join us as we discover the wonders of the Salish Sea in this special youth trip to the Seattle Aquarium. Get a close-up look at otters, seals, octopi, shore birds, marine invertebrates, and fish of all shapes & sizes! Chat with scuba divers and staff biologists to learn about Puget Sound marine life and conservation efforts. Watch a fish feeding frenzy from inside a cool underwater dome! We’ll round out the day with a stroll to Pike’s Place Market for a treat.

ROLLER HOCKEY – Ages 5-8
Roller Hockey is a co-ed drop-in program at the fair building – new players are always welcomed! You will learn new skills and improve existing ones in this organized drop-in play. Volunteer coaches are on-hand to provide instruction on individual and team skills. Buy a season pass and save money! No Hockey on Dec 24 or 31.

FUTSAL – Grades 5-8th
Futsal is a dynamic soccer game played indoors using a special ball that features a reduced bounce. This is a fun, fast-paced game popular world wide! Come out and have fun while gaining new soccer skills! A minimum of 12 participants must be registered by early fee deadline. Once the minimum is met, additional players can drop-in for $8.

Refund policy: If Island Rec cancels a program you will receive a full refund. Refunds requested before the early fee deadline date (or at least 5 business days before start of program if no early fee deadline) will be subject to an 8% service fee, with a minimum of $12, max $45. No refunds after the deadline date. No refunds on trips or tours.
