Family Camping 101

San Juan Island National Historical Park and Island Rec are teaming up to teach camping skills 101. If you are a little overwhelmed by all of the gear, not sure how to set up your cooking scene, don’t know where to store your food or handle food scraps – no problem, we are there for you. We’ll also be going over great regional places to camp, animal and insect issues, building fires, how to set up modern tents, clothing issues, cooler storage, logistics and reservations, games and activities for kids, etc. Bring your whole family (cost is for the whole family – we will have activities for everyone).
