FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE – All Ages

It’s that time of year again, dads! Treat your darling daughters to a special night out at the annual Father Daughter Dance! All ages are welcome. Dance to your favorite tunes and enjoy delicious appetizers and desserts provided by Vinny’s Ristorante. Girls will receive a corsage and keepsake photo. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Island Rec’s office or by calling 378-4953.

Tickets:  $20.00 per couple, additional daughters $6.00 each.

KNOW YOUR ISLAND WALKS – All Ages
Join the Trails Committee for a group hike on San Juan Island on the 4th Saturday of each month from January – October 2013, at 1:00 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For details on where to meet, visit the Trails Committee Website.

 

 

 

 

SCOOTER & TRIKE TIME – All ages
Grab your scooter or tricycle and head over to the fair building to burn off some extra energy before the day is done! Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult or older responsible sibling. All participants under 18 must wear a helmet. Bring your own scooter or trike!

FAMILY OPEN SKATE – All ages
Saturday evenings are always better with a pair of roller skates on your feet! Drop by for a fun-filled evening of music, friends, and exercise. Kids under 10 must be accompanied by an adult or older responsible sibling. All participants under 18 must wear a helmet. Bring your own skates! No scooters or tricycles during this time, please. Cosmic Skate Nights are on Dec 1 and Jan 5!

COMMUNITY OPEN GYM – All ages
We open up Turnbull Gym on Sunday evenings for families to play together! Parents with children of all ages are welcome to come out of the rain and play indoors. Come alone or bring a friend, or the whole family! This is the place to be to play a friendly game of basketball, ping pong, and other indoor games. Play equipment provided. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

START SMART – Ages 3-5
The Start Smart Sports Development Program prepares children for the world of organized team sports. With a step-by-step approach, the program builds confidence, self-esteem and makes sports fun! Parent and child work together in a supportive environment to learn throwing, catching, kicking, batting and more. A minimum of 6 participants is needed by the early fee deadline.

SM-f12 • Early fee: $30, expires Jan 2, $35 thereafter

Island Rec Waiver must be turned in prior to the first day of participating in all programs

Refund policy: If Island Rec cancels a program you will receive a full refund. Refunds requested before the early fee deadline date (or at least 5 business days before start of program if no early fee deadline) will be subject to an 8% service fee, with a minimum of $12, max $45. No refunds after the deadline date. No refunds on trips or tours.
