Board of Commissioners
Please note that the Island Rec board of commissioners will hold an additional board meeting at 5 pm on Wedneday, February 8, 2012 at the Island Rec office. The public is welcome to attend.
Island Rec is governed by a Board of five elected commissioners. The Board meets on the first Thursday of every month at 5pm in Island Rec’s office at 580 Guard Street. These are open public meetings and you are encouraged to attend.

Bill Cumming: Bill is the longest serving Commissioner on Island Rec’s Board. His contributions are vast, dating back to the building of the Skate Park and the formation of the Trails Committee. He was instrumental in the creation of the Teen Halloween Party and other teen programs. He is the Board Chair for 2011.
Tracy Roberson is a native of San Juan Island and was appointed to the Board in the summer of 2010. Prior to her appointment Tracy led the charge to develop the Bicycle Group of the Trails Committee. She is acting as liaison between Island Rec and it’s sub-committee, The Trails Committee.
Jacquelyn Reiff: Newly elected to the board!
Jeremy Talbott: Jeremy was appointed to the Board in December 2010 in the position vacated by Jim Ricks. Jeremy and his family have enjoyed many opportunities provided by Island Rec, most notably Camp Eagle Rock, the Children’s Festival and Boy’s basketball.
Scott Zehner: Scott was appointed to the Board in 2005 and has since been elected to his position. Scott was instrumental in developing the contract with the High School for funding of school sports. He and his active family enjoy participating in many Island Rec programs.
